What is the minimum age for marriage for both men and women, and is it permissible for them to marry at the age of seven, and what is the evidence for that from the Quran and the Sunnah?

The Sharia has not specified an age for the marriage of a man or a woman, nor has it prohibited the marriage of a minor male or female. This is supported by the Almighty's saying: "And those of your women who have despaired of menstruation – if you doubt, then their period is three months, and also those who have not menstruated" [At-Talaq: 4]. This indicates the validity of marrying a minor female. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, when she was six years old. Despite the permissibility of marrying a minor female, she should not be handed over to her husband unless she is able to endure intercourse. It is preferable not to marry off minors unless there is a predominant interest.
