Is reading Surat Al-Baqarah in its entirety and continuously, then supplicating afterward, sound or an innovation?

Surat Al-Baqarah, there is encouragement to recite it day and night, and persistence in doing so is not an innovation. Scholars have stipulated the desirability of supplicating after reciting the Qur’an because it is a time when prayers are likely to be answered.
