What is the ruling on my Hajj, and has it become invalid or is anything incumbent upon me, knowing that I did not perform ablution for Tawaf after something was discharged from me, thinking that Satan caused it?

The answer

The majority of scholars hold that purity (الطهارة) is a condition for the validity of Tawaf. Therefore, whoever performs Tawaf without ablution (وضوء), their Tawaf is invalid. The Hanafis, and one narration from Ahmad, are of the view that purity is obligatory for Tawaf but not a condition for its validity. Neglecting this obligation is compensated by sacrificing an animal (دم) in Mecca, to be distributed among the poor of the Haram. If you are certain that something necessitating ablution exited during Tawaf, then you must offer a sheep (شاة) to be slaughtered in Mecca, and its meat distributed among the poor of the Haram, or fast ten days if you are unable to do so.
