How authentic is the Hadith: "If Allah is angered with a servant, He provides for him from unlawful sources, and if His anger intensifies against him, He blesses it for him"?
This hadith has not been found in the well-known Islamic hadith collections (dawawin) or in the available hadithic parts (ajza'), therefore, it is not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Ibn al-Jawzi says: "If you see a hadith that contradicts reason, or opposes transmitted texts, or contravenes fundamental principles, then know that it is fabricated (mawdu')." Al-Suyuti clarifies that contradicting fundamental principles means the hadith is outside the known Islamic hadith collections.
