Is the husband's failure to find a job for two years, despite his experience and attempts, a trial from Allah, or envy, or sorcery, especially after a colleague threatened him with revenge subsequent to his exposure of embezzlement?

Allah ordains nothing but good for humankind. The believer's entire affair is good: he is patient in adversity and grateful in prosperity. This world is a place of trial, and Allah tests His servants with both good and evil. Allah, the Merciful and Generous, will not allow His servant to perish from hunger; He has guaranteed provisions for His servants and promised it. Allah Almighty said: "And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth just as [true as] that you are able to speak." One must strive to obtain sustenance, seeking it, relying on Allah, and being content with what He has allotted. And whoever wakes up feeling secure, healthy, and having the provision for his day, it is as if the whole world has been gathered for him.
