What is the ruling on saying, "Allah granted success to so-and-so because he is righteous," or "because he has no degrees, so He opened a door of provision for him from this place," and is this considered speaking on behalf of Allah without knowledge?

The righteousness of a servant may be a reason for Allah Almighty to grant them an opening, in accordance with His saying: "And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth." However, it should not be definitively asserted that Allah has granted a servant an opening due to their righteousness, for Allah may open doors of provision out of His grace, or as a way of gradual entrapment (istidraj). Similarly, provision may be constrained for a righteous servant as a test or an expiation. Allah expands provision for whom He wills and restricts it for whom He wills, and nothing can be definitively asserted regarding these unseen matters.
