What is the ruling on a third party lending to the lender on condition that the insolvent borrower be granted a delay?

If the debtor is in straitened circumstances, the creditor must grant him a respite, for Allah the Almighty says: "And if there is one in adversity, then [let there be] a respite until [a time of] ease." There is no harm if a person lends money to the creditor and stipulates that the creditor grant the debtor in straitened circumstances a respite, because he has stipulated something that is a religious obligation upon him, and this is not among the prohibited benefits in a loan.
