Why do some muftis issue fatwas of irrevocable divorce so easily, despite the existing scholarly disagreement, especially in cases of divorce pronounced by one under sorcery, one in a state of extreme anger, or one under duress? And is it incumbent upon the mufti to investigate the reasons for the divorce before issuing a fatwa concerning it?

The majority of scholars hold the view that a triple divorce counts as three. However, you have issued a fatwa stating that divorce pronounced by someone whose mind is overwhelmed or who has lost their will or choice due to obsessive thoughts, madness, coercion, magic, or extreme anger does not take effect; rather, it must be pronounced with full volition. A wife's threat to kill herself does not constitute coercion unless divorce becomes the only way to save her.
