Does not fasting Ramadan by order of the specialist doctor deprive me of the opportunity to be emancipated from Hellfire?

The hadiths about emancipation in Ramadan are absolute, not restricted by fasting. Therefore, every Muslim who strives to draw closer to Allah Almighty should recognize this virtue, even if they do not fast Ramadan due to a legitimate excuse. As for the specific virtues of fasting, these are attained by those who actually fast. If one breaks their fast without an excuse, that virtue is missed. However, if one breaks their fast with an excuse and then makes up the missed days or feeds the poor, it is hoped that they will attain that virtue.
