If one repeatedly utters a conditional divorce pronouncement related to the same matter, prior to that matter occurring, and in more than one sitting, is it considered a single divorce or multiple divorces?

The repetition of pronouncing a conditional divorce tied to something has three aspects:

1. If the intention is to confirm the first divorce: Only one divorce becomes binding upon breaking the condition, even if the pronouncement is repeated in different sittings and at different times. 2. If the intention is to initiate a new divorce each time: The stated number occurs, and the wife becomes unlawful if the divorces reach three, and anything beyond that does not occur. 3. If there is no intention of confirmation or initiation: Only one divorce becomes binding, whether the pronouncements occurred in a single sitting or multiple sittings. It was also said: If the sittings are multiple, every divorce pronounced occurs.

Unlike the repetition of an oath, the repetition of a conditional divorce tied to entry does not effect more than one divorce when the condition is met, unless the intention is to initiate anew. If the intention is confirmation or it is left unrestricted, it does not multiply, except for what is mentioned at the end of the chapter on Ila' (vow of abstention from intercourse) regarding multiplicity when left unrestricted and when the sittings are multiple.
