What should a girl do who suffers from continuous bleeding, cloudy discharge, and yellowish discharge throughout the month, if complete dryness is not achieved before the arrival of the month of Ramadan, especially after she fasted part of last Ramadan but still has days to make up that she was unable to?

If blood, and what is connected to it of yellowish and brownish discharge, continues for more than a month, the woman is in a state of istihadah (prolonged non-menstrual bleeding). She must refer to her previous habit (of menstruation). If she does not have a habit, she should act upon sound discrimination (between menstrual and non-menstrual blood). If she cannot discriminate, she should consider six or seven days as menstruation, and all else as istihadah.

She must make up the days she missed from the previous Ramadan before the next Ramadan begins. She should not break her fast in the upcoming Ramadan except for the days considered as menstruation. After these days conclude, she should perform ghusl (ritual bath) and all rulings for ritually pure women apply to her. She must perform wudu (ablution) for each prayer after its time has begun.

What she fasted from the previous Ramadan is valid, except for the days counted as menstruation. Only these days need to be made up. It is not necessary to make up the entire 25-day period. Making up the fast is permissible even if complete dryness is not observed during the days of istihadah.
