Is it permissible for women to perform the funeral prayer in congregation for the deceased at home after he has been washed and shrouded?

It is permissible for a woman to pray over the deceased in her home, and it is recommended for women to gather and pray in congregation. This is supported by the actions of the Prophet's wives, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when they prayed over Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas in the mosque. Some scholars, such as Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Al-Thawri, Ahmad, and the followers of Abu Hanifa, hold the view that congregational prayer for women in the funeral prayer is legislated. Ibn Uthaymeen agreed with them, indicating that it is better for a woman to pray over the deceased in her home, and there is no harm if she prays in the mosque with the people.
