A wife's obedience to her husband is obligatory in what is considered good, concerning marriage and its related matters. Raising children is a shared responsibility between both parents, requiring agreement and consultation for the children's best interest, as the Holy Quran clarified regarding the weaning of an infant when Allah Almighty said: "But if they both desire weaning by mutual consent and consultation, there is no blame upon them." Therefore, consultation, understanding, and agreement on what is best for the children are necessary. If agreement cannot be reached due to the potential harm of feeding sweets to the children, it is more prudent for the wife to refrain from feeding them sweets as a precaution for their well-being.
