Is it permissible to use beating, strangling, spraying with water, and herbal medicines along with Ruqyah Sharia?

It is permissible to beat and choke in the treatment of possession if it is confirmed that these actions affect the jinn and not the afflicted person, and if they do not result in greater harm. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and Ibn Taymiyyah did this. As for spraying water upon which Ruqyah has been recited, or water containing herbs like sidr upon which Ruqyah has been recited, it is permissible.
