What is meant by "one who has not associated anything with Allah, the Accused," and does the forgiveness of the "accusations" include those who have not repented of them, or does the phrase "has not associated anything with Allah" imply repentance from them before death, or is what is meant pure monotheism, or can prior monotheism erase major sins even if one dies without repenting from them?

It is narrated in the Hadith on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was given five prayers on the night of Al-Isra' (the Night Journey), the concluding verses of Surat Al-Baqarah, and "forgiveness for those of his Ummah who did not associate anything with Allah, the Muqhimat." The Muqhimat are grave sins, major transgressions. This Hadith has caused a problem because its apparent meaning suggests the forgiveness of major sins for those who do not associate partners with Allah, which contradicts other texts that prove some monotheists will enter Hellfire due to their sins. To resolve this contradiction, some scholars have interpreted the forgiveness to mean not remaining eternally in Hellfire, but this possibility is weak because it is not specific to this Ummah. Others have argued that the forgiveness is intended for some monotheists, not all, and that it is contingent upon the will of Allah the Almighty, citing His words: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills." Thus, the people of Tawhid (monotheism) from this Ummah have the特权 of forgiveness for some of them, which is subject to the will of Allah.
