What is muraqabah, and was it mentioned in the Qur'an or Sunnah?

Monitoring (Muraqabah) is the servant's constant certainty that Allah is aware of their outward and inward states. It is the fruit of their knowledge that Allah is watching over them, looking at them, hearing their words, and observing their deeds. Monitoring is considered one of the pillars of faith and has been mentioned in the texts of revelation. It is also a necessary consequence of believing in Allah's Beautiful Names, such as "The All-Knowing" (Al-Aleem), "The All-Hearing" (As-Samee'), and "The All-Seeing" (Al-Baseer). It is essential for a Muslim to achieve sincerity in acts of worship, perform them excellently, and avoid forbidden things.
