What is the difference between mushahadah (witnessing), mukashafah (unveiling), and tajalli (manifestation), and can a righteous wali (saint) see the Preserved Tablet and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while awake?

Observation (Mushahadah) and Vigilance (Muraqabah) are closely related terms among the Sufis. Vigilance is the knowledge and certainty that Allah is aware of His servant, and it is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, referred to when he said: "If you do not see Him, He surely sees you." As for Observation, it is witnessing the effects of Allah's Names and Attributes in the universe; it is a conceptual vision, and it is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, referred to when he said: "To worship Allah as if you see Him." The observation here is of the Attributes, not the Essence. Unveiling (Mukashafah): This is certainty, and it is of three types: unveiling through revelation, unveiling through the manifestation of power, and unveiling of hearts with the realities of faith; it is the knowledge of the inner self. Manifestation (Tajalli): This is what is unveiled to the hearts from the lights of the unseen. As for the claim that saints can access the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz) and that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, can be seen in a waking state after his death, these are false claims.
