What is the ruling on facial expressions changing to anger, boredom, arrogance, or laughter upon hearing religious advice, or upon being reminded of a sin and its prohibition being explained? Are there any facial expressions that could lead to disbelief (kufr)?

A mere change in a person's features upon the mention of a sin is not considered disbelief (kufr). A person does not disbelieve by committing a sin unless they deem it permissible. Arrogance in accepting advice is blameworthy, and a Muslim must respond to and accept advice. If the change in features is due to anger and detestation of the sin, then it is a good thing that indicates the sincerity of faith and hatred for what Allah hates. But if it is sadness over the inability to commit the sin, then one must remember the ugliness of the sin and its harm so that its love departs from the heart, and the Muslim should strive against themselves to hate what Allah and His Messenger have hated.
