Is it permissible for the daughter of a deceased maternal aunt’s daughter to give charity on behalf of her mother, and to give this charity to the governess who raised her? And is it permissible for her to give charity to the governess after her death?

A daughter may give charity on behalf of her deceased mother, and the mother will be rewarded for it, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: «My mother died suddenly, and I think that if she had been able to speak, she would have given charity. Should I give charity on her behalf? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Yes.» It is permissible for a girl to give voluntary charity to the respondent, whether she is rich or poor. It is better for the rich to be self-sufficient. It is also permissible for a girl to give charity on behalf of the respondent after her death, even if she did not raise her.
