What is the authenticity of the statement that human progeny did not begin with the marriage of Adam's sons to his daughters, relying in that on a narration from Imam Abu Abdullah that mentions the descent of two houris from Paradise (Nazlah and Manzilah) to be married to Seth and Yafith, and that Allah created Eve from other than Adam's rib?

As for what was said to him about Eve and that she was created from Adam's left rib, this is a statement that does not come from a rational person. Allah is capable of all things, and He created creation in four ways: He created Adam without a father or mother, He created Eve without a mother, He created Jesus from a mother without a father, and He created the rest of creation from a father and mother.

As for the second matter concerning the marriage of Adam's children, Al-Tha'labi transmitted, with a weak chain of narration, from Ja'far Al-Sadiq that he denied Adam marrying his daughter to his son, and claimed that Cain married a female jinn and Abel a houri. This is not proven, and it necessitates that Adam's progeny are from Iblis, or the jinn, or the wide-eyed houris, which has no basis. The People of the Sunnah mentioned that Adam, peace be upon him, had a male and a female born in each pregnancy, and that he was commanded to marry each son to the sister of his brother who was born with him, and a sister was not lawful for her brother who was born with her. It is possible that this type of marriage was permissible then abrogated.
