How do we pray in congregation, and is Friday prayer obligatory for us if there are only two of us while traveling?

It is incumbent upon both of you to perform congregational prayers (Jama'ah) and the Friday prayer (Jumu'ah) in the nearest mosque or Muslim community. If that is not possible, then pray the obligatory prayers in congregation wherever you can, with the one among you who is most knowledgeable of the Book of Allah leading you, and the other standing to his right. The Friday prayer is not obligatory upon you due to the lack of the number required for Jumu'ah to be valid.
