What is the ruling on a wife who cheated on her husband by committing adultery once, with the husband's knowledge of the betrayal, and the wife's doubt about his knowledge, considering the presence of children, and the fact that the husband is a relative, fully masculine, and realistic?

No matter how bad a husband's treatment or how unjust he is to his wife, it does not justify her committing adultery. Adultery is one of the most heinous sins and greatest transgressions that incur Allah's wrath. The punishment for a married adulterer in this world is stoning to death, and in the Hereafter, there is torment and disgrace. A woman who has committed adultery must hasten to sincere repentance, which involves abandoning the sin, regretting having committed it, and resolving never to return to it, while concealing herself and not publicizing her sin. If the wife repents, her husband should keep her and conceal her sin. However, if she does not repent, he should divorce her; in fact, some scholars consider this obligatory.
