Is a man's intercourse with his wife anally or vaginally, with a barrier (clothing), or placing his penis between her buttocks, considered Zina (fornication/adultery) that necessitates the legal punishment (hadd), or Zina that does not necessitate the legal punishment? And does it necessitate Ghusl (ritual bathing)?

Intercourse with a non-mahram woman and touching her, with a barrier, without penetration or placing the penis between her buttocks, is haram, but it does not necessitate the prescribed punishment (hadd). As for the zina that necessitates the hadd, it is the penetration of the glans or its equivalent into a forbidden private part, devoid of any doubt. It is permissible for a man to place his organ between his wife's buttocks, though it is better to avoid it. Ghusl (ritual bath) is not obligatory unless penetration occurs or semen is discharged. Its obligation with a barrier without discharge of semen is a matter of scholarly disagreement.
