What is the ruling regarding an Imam mocking someone who refrains from riding mixed buses and entering markets to avoid temptations?

Mockery and ridicule are not beneficial methods of education or upbringing, and may lead to counterproductive results. Imams, خطباء (preachers), and educators must choose better ways to discuss issues. Allah has forbidden mockery, backbiting, and calling each other by offensive nicknames. Mockery indicates contempt for others and self-admiration on the part of the mocker. Backbiting and slandering are forbidden. Calling each other by offensive nicknames refers to exchanging bad nicknames that a Muslim dislikes. Whoever does not repent from these actions is a wrongdoer, and it is obligatory to repent to Allah and rectify the wrong done to a Muslim.
