How do we understand the Hadith: "One of the major signs of the Hour is the sun rising from the west"?

The sun is one of God's signs, running to its appointed rest according to a system from which it does not deviate. At the end of the world and the Hour's advent, God will command it to rise from the west. At that time, people will believe, but their faith will not benefit them unless they had believed before then, in verification of His saying, the Most High: "The day that some of the signs of your Lord will come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or earned good through its faith." (Al-An'am/158), and the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from its west. When the people see it, whoever is on it will believe, but that will be a time when a soul's faith will not benefit it if it had not believed before." This confirms that the sun's course is part of the decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing, and that it prostrates beneath the Throne and seeks permission before its rising, and it is imminent that it will not be granted permission, so it will rise from its west. This is one of the major signs of the Hour that the Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah believe in, such as the sun rising from its west, which indicates the Hour's closeness, and at that time, the disbeliever's faith will not benefit him.
