Is it obligatory to expel gas daily by force before prayer, and is it permissible to sit after performing istinja’ and before wudu’ to expel gas, and what is the ruling on suppressing gas during prayer when one feels it, and is expelling it considered intentional? And what is the ruling on yellow and clear discharges after istinja’, and do they necessitate ghusl?

A person suffering from satanic whispers (waswasa) concerning prayer and ablution should not burden themselves beyond their capacity, nor should they respond to the devil's whispers. The original state is that ritual purity remains until an impurity is confirmed by a sound or smell. They are not required to force out gas or wait after ablution. Rather, they should disregard the whispers so they can perform worship with tranquility. If the gases are merely imaginary, they are of no consequence. However, if they are real, it is disliked to proceed with prayer before getting rid of them, unless one fears harm. If they are constant, they become considered سلس (continual discharge), and the rulings for the purity of a person with continual discharge are to be considered. Missed prayers must be made up, and one should seek refuge in Allah from Satan and defy his whispers, for the cure for waswasa is to disregard it.
