Was Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) buried in a Jewish cemetery, and what was the reason for that?

Uthman Dhul-Nurayn, the son-in-law of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, his assassination was a great tribulation. The Companions, such as Ali, Talha, and Al-Zubayr, grieved for him, and Uthman prevented them from fighting in his defense. Uthman had seen the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, in his dream, giving him glad tidings of breaking fast with him on the very same night, so he died while fasting. Uthman was buried in Hash Kawkab, east of Al-Baqi', and his burial was done secretly between Maghrib and Isha, out of fear of the Khawarij who wanted to bury him in the Jewish cemetery in Dair Sala', but Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, prevented them.
