Is the authenticity of this supplication — “O Allah, pour down provision upon him abundantly, and do not make his life one of toil or misery” — established as a supplication made by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for one of his Companions, which resulted in his wealth increasing and his life becoming prosperous?

The narrated Hadith, "O Allah, pour good upon her abundantly, and do not make her life toilsome," was said by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to one of the female Companions, not to a male Companion. It is part of a long Hadith about the story of Julaybib's marriage to one of the Muslim women. This Hadith has been narrated through various chains, some of which are abbreviated in "Sahih Muslim," while others are lengthy and include this supplication. Most scholars have authenticated the longer context that includes the supplication and have deemed some other narrations incorrect. Therefore, the supplication is authentic, and it is permissible to use it when praying for abundant lawful provision.
