What are the simple daily acts with great reward that can be done to feel at peace upon death?
It is advised to perform the obligatory duties and fulfill rights, to be diligent in observing the obligatory and supererogatory prayers in a prayer area at home, and to attend to the rights of the husband and daughter and her upbringing. It is also advised to engage in learning, remembrance (dhikr), and memorizing the Qur’an, and to utilize available means to facilitate memorization, along with reviewing and solidifying what has been memorized. It is preferable to seek assistance from others in this regard, and to correct one's recitation of the Qur’an with skilled teachers. This should be coupled with diligently reading books of and biographies (siyar), and consistently observing the restricted and unrestricted remembrances (dhikr) and supererogatory acts, for indeed, remembrance expels devils and reassures hearts.
