What is the ruling on closing the room in which a deceased woman was washed for forty nights?

Washing the deceased in a closed room has no basis in the Sunnah, the sayings of the imams, or the practice of the righteous predecessors. There is no benefit in it, and it might be a trick from Satan. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected." One of the Prophet's daughters, peace and blessings be upon him, was washed in an open room, and he did not command it to be closed.
