What is the ruling on a husband prohibiting himself from his wife during a moment of anger, and how can this matter be addressed in Islamic law?

It is forbidden for a woman to forbid her husband or anything else that Allah has made lawful for her. If she forbids something of that nature, its ruling is that of an oath, and she is liable for an expiation for an oath. The same applies to a man forbidding what Allah has made lawful for him, apart from his wife; as Allah Almighty says: "O Prophet, why do you prohibit what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise." (At-Tahrim: 1-2).
