The answer

Allah has prescribed the prayers at specific times, and they must be performed within their due times, for Allah Almighty says: (Indeed, the prayer has been decreed upon the believers a timed ordinance.)

Performing the prayer at the beginning of its time is better. However, if that is not possible due to an emergent reason, it is permissible to delay it until the end of its time or until the time of necessity.

If it is not possible to perform it within its time, some scholars permit the apparent combining (jama' suri) of prayers (performing the first prayer at the end of its time and the second at the beginning of its time), provided it is not taken as a habit.

If apparent combining is not possible, real combining (jama' haqiqi) between prayers (Dhuhr and Asr, Maghrib and Isha) is permissible, either by performing them earlier (jama' taqdim) or later (jama' ta'khir), out of necessity, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did, to remove hardship from the Ummah.
