What is the Sharia ruling regarding a triple divorce that occurred consecutively in a state of extreme anger? Can the wife be taken back? Is expiation (kaffarah) obligatory? And is it permissible for the wife to return home if the divorce is revocable (raj'i)?

Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce as long as the person is aware of what he is saying. If you uttered the divorce while conscious and not overwhelmed in your mind, then your divorce has occurred. If you intended three divorces, all of them have occurred. If you intended one, and the rest for emphasis, then it is one, and this is the view of the majority of scholars. However, Ibn Taymiyyah holds the view that it is a single divorce. If it is considered one divorce or less than three, then the wife can be taken back before her waiting period ends, and it is obligatory for her to return to her home. It is advisable to present the matter to the Sharia court or to people of knowledge, and to avoid the causes of intense anger.
