Is it permissible to delay the Asr prayer until just before sunset due to work?

A Muslim should prioritize performing the prayer at the beginning of its prescribed time, as Allah Almighty says: "So race to all that is good," and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Prayer at its appointed time." You should perform the prayer in congregation, and those in authority should assist you. If this is not possible and you are compelled to work, then you are excused for delaying the prayer until the time of necessity, such as one who catches a single rak'ah before sunset. This delay is permissible only due to an excuse and necessity, and you must understand that necessity is judged by its extent. Therefore, you are not entitled to remain [in that situation] except for the period it takes you to find alternative employment.
