How can the problem of watching television, which causes masturbation when lust intensifies, be overcome, especially with commitment and an attempt at spiritual struggle?

Masturbation is forbidden (haram). To cure oneself of it, one must repent from it, abandon it, regret having done it, and resolve never to return to it.

As for the treatment, it involves lowering one's gaze from forbidden things, avoiding seclusion, and hastening to marry. If one is unable to do so, then one should fast, increase in remembrance of Allah (dhikr), seeking forgiveness (istighfar), reading the Quran, sincerely supplicating to Allah to keep one away from forbidden things, and accompanying the righteous.
