What is the Shar'i ruling regarding a husband who said to his wife, "You are forbidden to me," because of her intense jealousy over him, and does divorce occur with this statement?

Jealousy can be praiseworthy or blameworthy. Blameworthy jealousy is that which leads to suspicion and accusation without evidence. If a husband conditions the unlawfulness of his wife upon his feeling her jealousy, and that occurs, then what he conditioned takes effect. The ruling on making one's wife unlawful depends on the husband's intention, whether he intended ẓihār, divorce, or an oath. Both spouses should avoid anything that disturbs the tranquility of their marital life.
