Is it permissible or impermissible to leave part of one's salary in an ATM out of fear of theft?

If a bank is usurious, the basic principle is that it is impermissible to deposit money in it, because doing so aids in sin. However, if there is no Islamic alternative and there is a need to deposit money in a usurious bank, then there is no blame in that. If this deposit results in usurious interest, then it must be spent for the benefit of Muslims or given to the poor and needy.
