Does a sister have a share of the inheritance if a female relative dies without a husband, children, or parents, and her heirs are limited to her sister and her male cousins?

If your female cousin has no heirs other than those mentioned, then her sister receives one-half as a prescribed share if she is a full sister or a paternal sister, based on the Almighty's saying: "They ask you for a ruling. Say: Allah gives you a ruling concerning kalālah (those who leave no direct heirs). If a man dies, leaving no child but has a sister, she will have half of what he leaves." If the sister is a maternal sister, her share is one-sixth, based on the Almighty's saying: "And if a man or a woman has no direct heirs but has a brother or a sister, then for each of them is one-sixth." Whatever remains after the sister's prescribed share goes to the closest male agnate, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them, and what remains goes to the nearest male." Your sister receives nothing from the inheritance, but it is recommended to give her something, as the Almighty said: "And when the division (of inheritance) is attended by relatives and orphans and the needy, then provide them from it and speak to them words of kindness." Finally, matters of inheritance must be referred to the Sharia courts for review and investigation before distribution.
