What is the ruling of Islamic law on refraining from childbearing and authoring a book that includes philosophical reasons for this decision?

Islam encourages procreation, as it is one of the fundamental reasons for marriage, as stated in the Qur'an: ﴿فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ﴾ (Al-Baqarah: 187), which some interpreted as seeking offspring. The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged marriage to women who are loving and fertile, explaining that he would boast of their numbers before other nations on the Day of Resurrection. Prophets prayed for righteous offspring, for children are a blessing and an adornment of worldly life, and they benefit their parents after their death through their prayers, or their intercession if they die young.

Nevertheless, it is permissible for a couple to agree not to have children, provided that permanent infertility is not induced. However, writing a book that calls for abstaining from procreation is not permissible, as it discourages people from something that religion has encouraged, and the benefits derived from children outweigh any anticipated harm. The spread of corruption does not prevent procreation, for happiness and misery are predetermined before creation. Some scholars permitted coitus interruptus with a free woman due to the corruption of the times, fearing an evil child, but this does not completely close the door to procreation, for Allah is the one who provides the righteous and others.
