From where do parents coming from Egypt for Hajj assume ihram if they do not pass a miqat, and should they assume ihram for Hajj At-Tamattu' or Hajj Al-Ifrad due to time constraints?

If the parents will pass by or be in line with a miqat, and they intend to perform Hajj, they must enter into ihram from the first miqat they pass by or are in line with. As for the type of ritual, Tamattu' is best for those who have not brought the sacrificial animal (hady), while Qiran is better for those who have brought it. If they arrive in Mecca on the morning of the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the time for Tamattu' has passed, and they must enter into ihram for Ifrad or Qiran.
