How can one deal with a husband who is verbally and physically abusive towards his wife and children, which affects the children's psychological well-being and self-confidence, especially given that the wife has no family support?

Marital life is built upon understanding, respect, tranquility, affection, and mercy. The husband should treat his wife well and not insult her. Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." He should also raise his children well. The wife should be patient with her husband and try to avoid what angers him. If the husband harms his wife, she has the right to seek a divorce. If he does not respond, she should refer her case to the competent authority to remove the harm, while being advised to be patient, overlook, and turn to Allah.
