What is the meaning of the Almighty’s saying: “The Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there shall be for him no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj”?

Allah Almighty mentions in the noble verse the rulings and manners of Hajj. The months of Hajj are well-known: Shawwal, Dhul-Qa'dah, and the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Whoever assumes the state of ihram for Hajj is obligated to complete it and must guard it against rafath (sexual intercourse, its preliminaries, and obscene speech), fusooq (disobedience and the prohibitions of ihram), and jidaal (unjust contention and quarreling). The prohibition of these matters is emphasized during Hajj because its purpose is humility and submission to Allah and drawing closer to Him. By adhering to this, the Hajj becomes mabroor (accepted), and its reward is Paradise.
