Does a divorce issued under duress and the threat of informing the first wife, with the intention of not enacting it, take effect?

If a man is coerced into divorce under threat of physical or financial harm, or by a threat to expose his second marriage that would lead to obvious and unusual damage, and it is highly probable that the threat will be carried out, then the divorce does not occur. Scholars cite the Hadith (definition): "Indeed, Allah has pardoned for my Ummah their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into." However, if these conditions are not met, or if the problems are common, or if the threat is not serious, then the divorce does occur.
