Is religion to be fragmented, especially concerning the Prophet's marriage to Aisha and his consummation thereof, and is it true that the Prophet intended to consummate the marriage when she was six or seven years old, but this was delayed until she was nine years old based on Abu Bakr's desire?

First: A specialized committee of students of Sharia (definition) knowledge oversees the Fatwa (definition) section, and exerts its utmost effort in scholarly verification.

Second: We seek evidence and truth, and if we find it, we adopt it unless it is contradicted by a stronger opposing argument. Revising the truth is better than persisting in falsehood.

Third: We have not found any evidence proving that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to consummate his marriage with Aisha after the عقد (marriage contract) and then abandoned this intention due to her father's wish. We still hold this position. Whoever has evidence should present it along with its scholarly reference.
