Is the husband entitled to refrain from having more children due to his fundamental disagreement with his wife regarding the principles of child-rearing, especially since she is influenced by Western educational philosophies and the glorification of the child, while he believes that the interest dictates obedience to the father's opinion and respect for his guardianship in upbringing? And is his linkage between her reaching maturity and reopening the file of procreation legally justifiable?

Raising children is a shared responsibility between spouses, based on mercy and avoiding excessive strictness, while being firm in instilling religious and moral values, and doing so gradually. Neglecting upbringing under the pretext of mercy is dangerous. A wife's rebellion (nushooz) hinders upbringing, and the husband must treat her with kindness and patience. If the wife insists on a corrupt educational approach, the husband is permitted to forsake her in bed and prevent conception.
