What is the Sharia ruling on the doubt concerning my saying "If you go" to my wife, who intends to work in a bank, and on repeatedly asking about the doubts that trouble me, and what is the ruling on my wife conceiving if there are any Sharia prohibitions based on what I said to her?

First: It is understood from the question that there is waswasah (whispering by Satan), and its cure is to increase acts of obedience and remembrance of Allah, and to disregard it. The default is that what was said between the spouses is correct.

Second: If a man says to his wife, "Speech between us is haram (definition) (forbidden) if you go to such-and-such a place": - If she does not go, then there is nothing upon him. - If she does go, then if he intended divorce, a divorce occurs. If he did not intend divorce, then he must offer expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin (definition)) (emancipating a slave, or feeding ten needy persons, or clothing them; and if he cannot find these, then fasting for three days), based on the Almighty's saying: (O Prophet, why do you prohibit what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the All-Knowing, the Wise).

Third: If a man says to his wife, "Speech between us is haram," and does not say, "if you go to such-and-such a place": - If he intended divorce, it occurs immediately. - If he did not intend divorce, then he must offer expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin).

Fourth: Repeating words or questions has no consequence as long as the speech is permissible.

Fifth: The wife's pregnancy does not affect the ruling on what was said, as pregnancy has no effect on divorce.

Sixth: It is not permissible to work in a usurious bank due to its involvement in cooperating in sin.
