The answer

Scented soap that has pleasant fragrances, but is not originally a perfume (طيب), is permissible for a pilgrim in to use. If the soap is of the perfumed type, containing what is originally a perfume, and the pilgrim in ihram perfumed themselves forgetfully or out of ignorance, then many jurists do not consider a (expiation) obligatory, and this is the view of Ata, Al-Thawri, Ishaq, Dawud, and Ibn Al-Mundhir. If one wishes to be cautious and adopt the view of those who do not waive the fidyah for forgetfulness, then the fidyah is to sacrifice a sheep, or feed six needy persons, or fast three days.
