Masturbation is unanimously prohibited. The proof of its prohibition is the Almighty's saying: "And those who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." And practicing it with ejaculation invalidates the fast according to the majority of jurists. The doer must repent and make up for the fast. The prohibition increases if it occurs during , and the preponderant opinion is that no expiation () is required for it.
