Does smoking harm the health of angels, with evidence from the Qur’an or Sunnah?

There is no text that clarifies angels are harmed by smoking. However, it is authentically established in the Sunnah (definition) that angels are bothered by foul odors, and smoking is one of them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade approaching mosques for those who had eaten onions, garlic, or leeks, because angels are bothered by what bothers the Children of Adam. Scholars have appended everything with a foul odor to this ruling, and later scholars appended smoke to onions and garlic in this ruling. Therefore, entering the mosque with the foul odor of smoke is prohibited.
