What is the ruling on maintaining kinship ties with relatives who practice sorcery and whose harm and sorcery are feared?

Maintaining kinship ties (Silat al-Rahim) is a religious obligation. A true maintainer of kinship is one who connects with their relatives even if they cut ties. Therefore, you must adhere to the protective measures against magic and the reported supplications for seeking refuge (Ta'awwudhat). Connect with your mother and siblings, and counter their ill-treatment with kindness, so that you may gain their love and the love of Allah. There is no objection to treating those among them afflicted by magic without their knowledge, if you are able, but only with ruqyah (definition) al-shari'ah (Islamic incantation).
